    Happo-one Star Watching Meeting

    From July 1 (Fri.)-Aug. 31 (Wed.), “Hakuba Alps Hana-zanmai”, an alpine flower event, will be held. Shuttle bus service, “Hana-zanmai Bus” will be available during the period. You can enjoy wonderful views of Hakuba with alpine flowers only in the summer season.

    Lavender Festival, Yume Farm until July 18

    Now, lavender in the garden of Yume Farm, an agritourism farm in Ikeda-machi, is in full bloom and “Lavender Festival” is held until July 18 (Mon.). The flowering season is coming 7-10 days earlier than usual. About 70,000 roots are planted and you can enjoy different kinds of lavenders until early-July.

    June 11-June 19 Tsugaike Nature Park Festival

    The last winter has the much less snow and warmer weather than usual, so the best season for Mizubasho has ended already. Because of that, “Mizubasho Festival”is renamed and will held as “Tsugaike Nature Park Festival” on June 11 (Sat.)-June 19.
    However, the flowers in the summer season start to bloom beautifully. You can enjoy the “unusual” views only in this season now.

    According to Japan Meteorological Agency, the rainy season has started in Kanto Koshinetsu Region on June 5 (Sun.). It has set in 2 days later than the last year and 3 days earlier than usual.

    New Biggest Ski Area in Japan, "HAKUBA VALLEY"

    The biggest ski area in Japan will be open in the next winter season. HAKUBA VALLEY  consists of the 11 ski areas in Hakuba, Otari, Omachi and will newly reopen as “one ski area”. It will introduce the common ticket gates system so that the guests can enjoy skiing/snowboarding in all ski areas with just one common lift pass. This management reform will make “HAKUBA VALLEY” the biggest ski area in Japan.

     

    Besides, on June 1, “HAKUBA VALLEY SEASON PASS” (Season lift pass available in all ski areas in HAKUBA VALLEY, Adult: JPY130,000, Child: JPY70,000) has been on sale.
