Japanese long-distance runner Azusa Nojiri, Seoul Olympic race walker Hirofumi Sakai, three time Olympian & cross-country skier Nobu Naruse and many more guest runners will be participating.

On July 25, NAGANO International Music Festival in Hakuba
“NAGANO International Music Festival” is a historical classical music festival held in all over Nagano Pref. and mainly workshop of violin and piano. World-class musicians are invited to Impromptus Hakuba and they give special lessons. And from 1 p.m. on July 25, the students of the master class will hold a concert at Wing21. From 7 p.m. on same day, “Festival Concert” will be held by Kazuki Sawa and famous musicians.

On June 29, The Rainy Season is Over
The rainy season has been over on June 29 (Fri) in Kanto Koshin Region, the Meteorological Agency said. This is 7 days earlier than the last year and 22 days earlier than usual and the earliest since records began.
According to the long-range forecast, we will have fewer cloudy and rainy days than usual in early July, and more sunny days than usual in late July and there will be many sunny days as usual in August.
OMM LITE/BIKE HAKUBA, OTARI 2018
Two days from July 14 (Sat)–July 15 (Sun), “OMM LITE/BIKE HAKUBA, OTARI 2018” will be held in Hakuba Village and in Otari Village. This is a rogaining race and each team including 2–5 people choose the route from the map by themselves. The team who gets the most check points during the fixed time will win the race. There are 2 categories, LITE (running) and BIKE (mountain biking), and the participants will compete not only their physical strength, but also the skills of planning and navigation.

HAKUBA VALLEY: The Visitors of Inbound Tourists Marked a Record High in 2017-18 Winter Season
In 2017–18 season, the visitors in 10 ski areas in HAKUBA VALLEY was about 1,555,000 people and it is increased by 3% from previous season. 330,000 people out of those people were inbound tourists and it is increased by 45% from previous season, and it is 21% of total visitors. By country, more than half are from Oceania, followed by Asia, Europe and North America in order.
With the growing popularity of powder skiing, the high quality Japanese powder snow is called “Japow (Japan + powder snow)” in oversea countries and rated as one of most exciting countries to experience the powder snow.

Mizubasho (Asian Skunk Cabbage) in Tsugaike Nature Park is the latest Mizubasho in Honshu Area and its best season starts from mid-June. In the nature park, “Mizubasho Festival” will be held from June 22 (Fri) to June 24 (Sun) and it will have some events such as treats of rice cake & soup, lottery, booths of local products.
