Beginning on 8/7 (Sat.) Alps Azumino National Government Park (Omachi・Matsukawa）will be holding a ‘Summer Illumination’ event. Those attending the event in a yukata or jinbei will receive a complimentary sparkler or glow stick! (While supplies last)

2021 NAGANO International Music Festival in Hakuba
The ‘2021 NAGANO International Music Festival in Hakuba’ will be held on 8/5 (Sat.) at Wing 21. This year’s festival will feature the theme of “Let’s live. Believe in tomorrow.” and will be dedicated to medical professionals and all others leading the fight against the novel coronavirus

On 7/20 (Tue.), the application period for the Nagano Prefecture Season Ski Pass lottery begins. The method of application has changed this year, with all entries being handled through the yukiyama application.

Fujimi Panorama Resort Free Round Trip Gondola Campaign
From 7/19 (Mon.) to 9/5 (Sun.), Fuji Panorama Resort is offering free round trip tickets on its gondola to residents of Nagano, Yamanashi and Shizuoka Prefectures. In addition, the MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK has kicked off operation as of 7/1 (Thurs.) with a dedicated mountain bike carrier (*patent pending) now installed on the No. 4 Pair Lift.

7/16 (Fri.) The End of the Rainy Season
The Japan Meteorological Agency has declared the end of the rainy season for the Kanto Koshin and Tohoku regions as of Friday, July 16th. This comes on the heels of the 7/14 (Wed.) announcement of the conclusion of the rainy season for the Hokuriku region. The rainy season thus drew to a close 16 days earlier than last year and 3 days earlier than average.
* The forward-looking 3 month forecast expects temperatures to be in line with annual norms or higher through to September. When traveling to Hakuba over the summer, be sure to keep up on hydration and electrolytes, and consider using hats and parasols to avoid direct sun exposure and lessen your chance of dehydration and heat stroke.

Iwatake「Mountaincart」First-of-its-Kind Activity in Japan!
Starting on 7/17 (Sat.), Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort will debut a new first-of-its-kind activity in Japan known as ‘Mountaincart’! The course runs for a length of 2.1km with a total descent of roughly 200m. Riders will navigate the course over 15 minutes along with a guide.
