    Happo Special Spring Shuttle Bus

    As of 3/28 (Sun.) the HAKUBA VALLEY shuttles buses connecting each of the ski resorts to each other and to nearby train stations, etc… have ceased operation for the winter season. However, starting in April, Happo has begun running its own special spring shuttle bus on weekends from now until the end of the Golden Week holiday.

    Kashimayari to Close on 4/1 (Thurs.)

    Due to advancing snow melt it has become difficult to maintain acceptable slope conditions at Kashimayari Ski Resort, and as such the decision has been made to close for the winter season on 4/1 (Thurs.). This comes 3 days earlier than the originally anticipated closing date. With the current conditions, the 1st Annual SPEEDEST Kashimayari event on the calendar for 4/4 (Sun.) has been called off, but the “Zansetsu SESSION” on 4/3 (Sat.) is set to take place as scheduled.

    4/10(Sat.)Nagano Prefectural Art Museum Opening

    The main building of the Shinano Art Museum, which has been closed for renovation since October of 2017 is set to reopen with a new look and under a new name – the Nagano Prefectural Art Museum. The special opening to commemorate the museum’s completion will be the Tokyo University of the Arts Super Clone Cultural Properties exhibition, running until 6/6 (Sun.).

    SLAB Spring Days

    Tsugaike is currently hosting a series of events collectively known as ‘SLAB Spring Days’ over the course of 10 days from 3/26 (Fri.) to 4/4 (Sun.) during which pro snowboarders, popular ski and snowboard YouTubers and others will descend upon the resort! Come and share the slopes or the lift with them, or watch as they catch huge air in the terrain park; there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

    Hakunori to Close on 3/30 (Tue.)

    Hakuba Norikura Onsen Ski Resort has announced that it will conclude operation for the 2020-21 winter season at the end of business on 3/30 (Tue.) due to rapidly melting snow making it difficult to adequately and safely maintain course conditions. With this decision, the resort will shut down one day prior to the originally planned closing date.

    Hakuba Paradise Slalom

    ‘Hakuba Paradise Slalom’ is a slalom-style competition where participants race against the clock on a course with both natural and man-made banks. This 6th edition of the tournament will be held on a specially-prepared course straddling the Kamo4 and East Slopes of Iwatake.
