Kashimayari REPORT

2026.01.03 80 cm / Snowy

This morning, I ran into a family visiting from Iida City (pictured), who told, “We decided to come out to Kashimayari for our first snowboarding trip of the New Year because it offers reliable snow with minimal travel time.” By the way, Course 1-A (pictured) opened on 12/31 (Wed.), followed by Courses 1-B and 1-C on 1/2 (Fri.), and with that, Kashimayari Ski Resort Family Park has finally reached “fully open” status!
[Course 1-A]

Dry snow flurries continued to fall, and Course 1-A (pictured), which had a groomed, wet snow base, had around 3 to 5cm of fresh snowfall on top. Thanks to the powerful cold air associated with the winter pressure pattern that has persisted since yesterday, this new snow felt light and very pleasant underfoot. The beginning section of Course 1-A had been groomed, while the middle to lower sections were left ungroomed.

The base depth is still not quite sufficient on the upper sections of Course 1-C (pictured) and Course 1-B, so grooming had been only been carried out in some places (with some brush still visible in one area). The groomed sections were made up of a well-set wet snow base, and were topped with 3 to 4cm of light fresh snow. The Kurosawa Slope was also covered with around 3cm of light new snow, and offered smooth, easy-to-ski groomed wet-snow conditions.

The large wave feature on the groomed lower section of Course 1-C (pictured) is gentle and plenty side, making it easy and fun to ride. Meanwhile, the “Playland Area” and “Tubing & Sledding Area” of Pokémon Snow Adventure have been redesigned with a new layout this season, and the tubing and sledding area was once again busy with families today.
