This morning, I rode the Sky Panorama Quad up to the top of the ski area and dropped into the Panorama Course (pictured). There I met a snowboarder from Ina City (pictured, right) who told me, “I came here for the first time earlier this season, and today is my fifth visit. The scenery is amazing and the runs are really fun to board, so I got hooked. Today I brought my girlfriend for the first time.” When I asked her (pictured, left) how she liked it, she replied with a big smile, “It’s super fun!”

The narrow starting section of the 2,000m-long Panorama Course (pictured) had a groomed moist snow surface with a slight bit of granular snow mixed in. From the midsection through to the bottom (pictured), where the run opens up wider, the groomed surface was composed of moist snow with a slight powdery feel. The freshly-groomed piste was well covered with man-made snow, and offered excellent snow quality that really raised my stoke level.

Before riding the Sky Panorama, I took three laps on the Family Course (pictured). The groomed surface there was firm, and contained moist snow with a powdery feel. The snow quality was surprisingly good and very easy to ski. Visitor numbers gradually increased as the morning progressed, but most people stuck to the Family Course.

Meanwhile, the Slalom Course (pictured) and the Venus Course were hidden gems today. The Slalom Course started off with groomed firm granular snow with a few scattered snow clumps, while the mid-to-lower section transitioned to moderately firm moist snow. At the base area’s Adventure Land, visitors can enjoy tubing and sledding, as well as the Wakuwaku Air Tubing attraction (for children, weekends only).
