In June 2025, the new takeout specialty shop Alps opened next to the Happo-no-Yu onsen! Their signature dish, the Steak Rice Bowl (120g JPY1,500, pictured, & 240g JPY2,500), features tender, lean Australian sirloin steak served over Koshihikari rice grown in Omachi. Also recommended are the homemade sweets (JPY500 each) and several varieties of shaved ice topped with syrup made from Nagano-grown fruit (JPY800 each).
