Nozawa REPORT

2025.09.14Nozawa Onsen / Light Rain

From 9/10 (Wed.) to 9/14 (Sun.), the weather was mostly rainy, with the temperature dropping day by day and the feeling that the season was quickly shifting toward autumn. Today, 9/14 (Sun.) around 11:30 a.m., the “NOZAWA ONSEN Music Picnic” was held in the Uenotaira Kogen area. Despite light rain falling intermittently, families and couples steadily gathered before the event kicked off—helped by the fact that gondola rides were free for junior high school students and younger.

After the kids from the local SMF dance school performed a routine, Ino Misako (pictured), the host of FM Nagano programs “Magic Hour” and “Tobe! FRI-TAG!!,” took the stage and performed five songs, including “Rainy Yesterday.” Following her, Kayoko Yuzawa captivated the audience with five soulful numbers, including “Fun! Fun! Fun! Yuki no Fue.”

Audience members sat on mats and chairs they had brought along, listening intently to the music. Beside the stage, food trucks were selling shaved ice, and there were booths offering kids’ activities and games. After the performances, many people lined up to buy CDs and merchandise from the two performers, and I also noticed fans taking commemorative photos with the artists themselves.

The grand finale was a live FM Nagano recording of “FRIDAY GOES ON ~Ah, Sore Itadaki!~,” hosted by Ryotsu Sait (pictured, left) and Yu Fujii (center), which brought the event to a lively close. Between segments like “Fujii Rock Fes” and “Moguro Saitō,” guest appearances were made by Ino Misako, Kayoko Yuzawa (pictured right), Nozawa’s Mayor Ueno, and the ski resort’s Mr. Takazawa. This special recording is scheduled to air on FM Nagano and other JFN network stations, as well as on Radiko, on 9/19 (Fri.) starting at 1:30 p.m.
