The season for sandan koyo (“three-tiered autumn colors”) has arrived—where white snow covers the mountaintops, crimson leaves paint the mountainside, and lush green forests spread across the foothills. Following the first snowfall over the Ushiro-Tateyama Range on 10/27 (Mon.), the upper slopes of Happo, Tsugaike, and Goryu 47 were also blanketed with snow yesterday, 10/28 (Tue.). While Iwatake has yet to see its first snow, the autumn foliage here is now at its peak and should remain brilliant through early November.
