I spoke with a staff member who commented on the recent weather, saying, “The snow was on and off throughout the day yesterday, but the strong winds kept the snow from accumulating much.” However, by this morning, the summit area of Hakuba Iwatake Snow Field had received its first snowfall of the season, with about 3 cm of moist snow on top of a thin frozen layer underneath in places such as on the summit area decks.
