Advance reservations for 2026 Milky Queen rice grown by Hakuba Village-certified farms opened on 9/10 (Wed.) as part of the village’s Furusato Nozei (hometown tax donation) program. Milky Queen is prized for its beautiful glossy sheen, satisfyingly chewy texture, rich sweetness, and exceptionally tender bite. It also stays soft after cooling down, making it an excellent choice for onigiri and packed lunches. Both polished rice and brown rice, which retains its quality well over longer periods, are available, along with subscription deliveries of 2, 3, 6, or 12 shipments. ※See also “Hakuba-Grown Rice Vol. 6.”
