This morning, I spoke with a season pass holder from Gifu (pictured) who told me, “I always use Snownavi! I skied in the rain yesterday. Thankfully, this morning’s groomers are firmer and much easier to ski.” He struck a number of poses, but I snapped this candid shot right at the end. Temperatures dipped slightly overnight, and a light dusting of new snow coated the surface.

The morning clouds gradually broke apart, and blue skies moved in. Up high along the Alps No. 11 Pair, rime ice clung to the trees. The Highway Course (pictured) and Kamoshika Course were both freshly groomed with moderately firm corn snow. Early on, I noticed advanced skiers carving sharp, clean turns top to bottom, then lapping the Alps No. 3 High-Speed Pair.

I met two brothers from Tokyo (one pictured) who said, “Yesterday was tough skiing in the rain. Today we’re playing on sleds until everyone else gets here.” The Satomi Central Slope was freshly groomed with soft corn snow, and both skis and sleds picked up speed easily. Satomi Central will host the Morishita Jintan 2026 Osaka Hakunori Mogul Satomi Competition from 3/6 (Fri.) to 3/8 (Sun.).

The Rabbit Course (pictured) started the morning as freshly groomed, moderately firm corn snow, but it softened with each lap. By the time I dropped into the Wakaguri Central Slope, the groomed surface had transitioned to looser, softer corn. A skier from Kanagawa (pictured) called out, “I love Snownavi. It’s definitely softening up out here.”
