With the final day of the season at HAPPO PARKS just two days away, on 3/22 (Sun.), the “HAPPO LINES 2026 Final Party” took place today. With calm, sunny skies, HAPPO PARKS (pictured) had softened groomed granular snow by around 10:00 a.m. As time went by, the high volume of tracks had worked the surface further, softening things up even more.

“Hustle Time,” which began at 11:00 a.m., had guest riders judging participants on tricks, style, and overall performance. At the awards ceremony held later in the afternoon, prizes included snowboards, goggles, sunglasses, hoodies, and other apparel. The session was originally scheduled for 30 minutes but was extended, and ended up running for a full hour.

The banked slalom area along the Kitaone 3 Pair (pictured) was also included in the judging. The park closed temporarily at 12:30 p.m. for maintenance, then reopened at 1:00 p.m. as the event resumed. Among the many riders, Milano-Cortina Olympic Big Air gold medalist Kokomo Murase also made an appearance.

I spoke with rider Masaki Kitae (pictured, back right) who told me, “What makes Hustle Time fun is that it’s not just about points—you’re riding in a way that can’t really be judged.” (※Also pictured, front row, from left to right: Hiroki Hoshi, Taro Matsuno; back row, from left to right: Kaito Onozaki, Kenji Igarashi.) HAPPO PARKS was busy throughout the day, and the nearby Kotatsu Café was also packed with people.
