NASPA Ski Garden is one of the few ski-only resorts in Japan, and features a compact, well-thought-out design with eight runs, offering plenty of enjoyment for skiers of all levels. I ran into a family visiting from Tokyo (pictured), who told me, “We’re staying in Yuzawa for the three-day weekend and plan to ski at several different resorts.”
[F Course]
On this first day of the three-day weekend, the cloud cover overhead gradually cleared, bringing sunny skies with mild temperatures and comfortable conditions. The groomed A, B, E, F, G, and H runs all offered easy-to-ski, packed powder with a nice, soft feel. Using the No. 5 Lift (quad), I enjoyed a relaxed warm-up on the 130 m-wide G Course (pictured; max 27°, average 17°, 580 m), where it was easy to find a smooth rhythm.

Located at the bottom of the B Course, the netted-off Pingu Fun! Fun! Kids Garden was also in great shape. I spoke with a mother from Chiba Prefecture (pictured) who commented, “My child has already made their skiing debut, but they love sledding and have been playing here the whole time.” A covered “magic carpet” conveyer belt made getting back up to the top easy and stress-free. (※Admission tickets are ¥2,500 for a one-day pass or ¥2,000 for 3.5 hours, for both adults and children aged two and up).

At the First Adventure Area, visitors can also enjoy a snowmobile ride experience (pictured). Guests aged 15 and older can ride on their own (※¥1,500 per ride), while children aged 3 to 14 can ride together with a parent or guide (※¥2,000 per ride). In the same area, you can enjoy snow rafting, and in other areas, you can also enjoy snow night buggy tours.
