Today, I joined the “Buggy Experience”, one of the activities currently offered through “Goryu Morimori Adventure”. After checking in at Escal Plaza, myself and the other participants watched a safety video on the same floor and received a helmet, goggles, and smartphone holder. We then headed to the parking lot behind the Goryu Telecabin base station (pictured) for a driving practice session.

The family from Ishikawa Prefecture who joined me (pictured) chose the 90-minute Family Course, which combines both the Experience Course and Morimori Course. The Morimori Course and Experience Course can be chosen as singular options as well. Following the guide, we began on the Experience Course, driving around a circuit laid out on the lower section of the Powder Snow Course (pictured).

Next came the Morimori Course, designed for a longer ride. The newly created trail through the forest between the Soft Cream Course and Merry Land Course (pictured) was comfortably wide, while the shade from the trees kept conditions cool and pleasant. Thanks to the buggy’s wide, deeply treaded tires, the mixed surface of dirt and rocks of various sizes posed little difficulty.

The experience concluded with a steady climb up the switchbacks built on the Soft Cream Course (pictured). The family who joined me (pictured) said, “We came to Goryu because we wanted to ride buggies that we could drive ourselves. They were easier to handle than we expected, and it was great fun.” The defining feature of this experience is the chance to take the wheel of a full-size, left-hand-drive buggy yourself! (※Participants can communicate by radio while driving. The 90-minute experience includes two breaks of approximately 10 minutes each.)
