The first snow of the season on the mountains is always an eagerly awaited sight for photographers. Thick clouds covered the upper slopes of Goryu47 throughout the day yesterday, making it impossible to see what conditions were like. (※Both the live cameras and Goryu Telecabin are currently out of service.) This morning, however, clear skies revealed a fresh covering of snow on Alps-daira (pictured, far right). Radiational cooling also brought the coldest temperatures of the season so far, even leaving frost on car windows.
