Following the season’s first snowfall on the Ushiro-Tateyama Range over the past two days, beautifully clear skies this morning revealed perfect views of Iwatake’s famous “three-tiered fall colors” from the deck of HAKUBA MOUNTAIN HARBOR (pictured)! (※The foliage is now just past its peak, but still beautiful.) Strong radiational cooling sent temperatures plunging early this morning, leaving frost across the terrace and coating the glass barrier in white.
