Sanosaka REPORT

2026.03.1340 cm / Cloudy

With the final day of the season at Hakuba Sanosaka Ski Resort approaching on 3/15 (Sun.), today marks the last slope report of the season. Under calm, overcast skies, I met a man from Kyoto Prefecture (pictured, right) who was taking a lesson and told me, “I read your reports from time to time. This slope is perfect for telemark lessons—it’s very easy to ski.”

I also met two visitors from Okayama Prefecture (pictured) who told me, “We always read your reports! We’re HAKUBA VALLEY season pass holders, but we keep coming back to Hakuba Sanosaka because we love it here. The grooming here is truly incredible.” From Lake Down through Lake View, the slopes featured groomed corn snow that had set up nicely and was very easy to ski. (※Though there were a few spots near the entrance where the tips of grass were showing through.)

I met a member of the patrol team who commented, “Thanks to the grooming crew, we’ve avoided any major accidents and should reach the final day with excellent slope conditions still in place. To everyone who reads Snownavi, there’s only a little time left this season, but we hope to see you here!” Patrol Jr. (pictured, right) also told me, “My elementary school just started spring break, so I came to help with patrol today.”

I also spoke with Mr. Takeuchi (pictured), the representative of KAGAYAKING and a supported athlete for Rescue Wax, who told me, “I always read your reports. Tomorrow I’ll be participating as a judge at the Hakuba Carving Matsuri.” The Carving Slope and Paradise (pictured) both offered nicely set, groomed corn snow that was smooth and easy to ski today. Thank you very much for following our slope reports this season, and we hope you’ll join us again next winter!
