At the FARM HAKUBA Strawberry Garden, two popular varieties of strawberries are now in season: “Benihoppe,” known for its well-balanced sweetness and acidity, and “Akihime,” prized for its gentle acidity and rich, pronounced sweetness. Grown at an elevation of around 700 meters, the garden benefits from a cool highland climate that naturally delays the peak season compared to farms in lower areas, allowing visitors to enjoy strawberry picking through Golden Week. Nearby, Kitchen Marche No Cafe also offers fresh strawberries for purchase by the pack.
