Goryu47 REPORT

2025.12.20115 cm / Partly Cloudy

The Milky Four Lift began operating today, opening up the Soft Cream Course, and Escal Plaza is now fully open with 24-hour operation. Today, skies were calm and mostly sunny, though there was some cloud cover, and a long line had formed at the Telecabin base station before operation began, stretching all the way down to the bottom of the slope on the north side of Escal.

The Grand Prix Course (photo) featured a groomed, moist snow surface with a powdery feel that was moderately firm overall. With warmer temperatures early on and direct sunlight hitting the slope head-on, the surface had already loosened slightly and felt a bit damp. On the ungroomed Technical Course and along the Alps 3rd Pair line, small undulations and some larger bumps had formed as the surface softened.

Meanwhile, the north-facing Panorama Course (photo) and the upper section of Route 8 were groomed with moderately firm, powder-packed snow surfaces. The Dynamic Course, Woody Course, and Toomi Slope featured groomed moist snow that was well set but had softened at the surface. By the way, a sledding and snow play area sectioned off with netting has been open at the base of the Toomi Slope since 12/17 (Wed.).

The Soft Cream Course (photo) was groomed with moderately firm moist snow, and there were some areas with thin snow coverage and exposed brush, though they could be avoided without much trouble. The Iimori Base Center (formerly Rest House Iimori), visible at the base, also began operating today. Access to the Soft Cream Course is available from just above the Goryu Telecabin base station by traversing across the Powder Snow Course.
