This winter, the large public onsen bath (pictured) and changing rooms at Hakuba Tokyu Hotel have been renovated. The Hakuba Happo Onsen water supplied to the baths is not only from a rare, highly alkaline spring source, but is also known as Japan’s only natural hydrogen hot spring. Both the men’s and women’s baths feature open-air baths, and the men’s bath is additionally equipped with a sauna. Hotel guests may use the baths from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. (*excluding cleaning hours from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.), and day-use bathing is available from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (*day-use rates: JPY1,500 for adults, JPY750 for elementary school age and younger).
