According to the Japan Meteorological Agency’s three‑month forecast released on 9/22 (Mon.), “the start of winter will temporarily approach La Niña‑like conditions,” and snowfall on the Sea of Japan side is expected to be near or above the seasonal average. Expectations for December snowfall are rising. I will be watching the monthly three‑month forecasts and the El Niño monitoring bulletins going forward.
