The Dynamic and Expert Courses, which opened on 12/12 (Fri.) and then closed at 3:00 p.m. the same day, reopened yesterday at around 10:45 a.m. after a solid round of snowfall. In addition, the Woody Course and Toomi Slope also became skiable yesterday, making it possible to descend all the way to the base via Dynamic → Woody → Toomi, or Dynamic → Expert → Toomi.

The Toomi Sky Four Lift also began operating yesterday, and thanks to strong radiative cooling overnight, this morning delivered ideal conditions for skiing. Just as the ski patrol promised when they told me, “Today’s grooming is excellent!”, the Panorama Course (photo) featured moderately firm, powder-packed snow that let my skis glide effortlessly, making for an exceptionally smooth and satisfying ride.

The Grand Prix Course was groomed into well-set, powder-packed snow, and conditions were so good that I felt my confidence being boosted as my edges bit hard and held firm, letting me link turns exactly as intended. A couple of skiers carrying good speed just happened to pass through the frame of my shot at the perfect moment, allowing me to capture multiple plumes of snow spray drifting up softly into the air (pictured).

Small undulations had formed in the ungroomed areas along the Alps 3rd Pair line and the Technical Course (pictured, background), but both were also easy to ski thanks to the dry, soft snow. Both the Dynamic and Woody Courses featured well-set, powder-packed groomed snow with no exposed brush at all. The ungroomed Toomi Slope, meanwhile, offered a mostly flat surface topped with dry machine-made snow.
