Nomugitoge REPORT

2026.02.13100 cm / Sunny

With the base depth reaching 100 cm on 2/8 (Sun.), Nomugitoge Ski Resort is now fully open except for the bypass course. After riding Skyliner and then Sky Rabbit, I found Tate-mizu no Saka, Panorama, Champion (pictured, right), Champion 2 (pictured, left), and Rabbit laid out below, all beautifully groomed. Today, 2/13 (Fri.), brought clear blue skies and no wind—perfect conditions for skiing.

From the 2,130 m summit, Rabbit (pictured), Champion, and Panorama offered a long stretch of firm, packed powder groomers that were a pleasure to ski. Tate-mizu no Saka, the Training Slope, and the Family Course featured well-compacted wet snow with a powdery feel. The snow remained easy to ski all the way down to the bottom, and the full 4 km run back to the Skyliner base felt surprisingly short.

Champion 2 (pictured) also had a firm packed powder surface. Because fewer people tend to ski this run, which parallels Champion, the fresh corduroy remained intact for quite a while. Looking ahead, free cups of “choco shiruko” will be served in front of the Center House starting at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, 2/14 (Sat.), and a Parent-Child Snow Festival will take place around Bambi Terrace from 1:00 p.m. In addition, 2/15 (Sun.) is “Ski Kids Day,” and elementary school students can ride the lifts for free.

I ran into a man from Matsumoto City (pictured) who told me, “I’ve seen Snownavi before. The groomers were nice and firm yesterday and today—just perfect.” Another season pass holder I met before lifts opened commented, “I always check your reports! I come up about twice a week. I usually ski until around 11:00 a.m., while the conditions are still at their best, then head home.” On the ungroomed Mine-no-hara Slope and Yuriwari Course, moderately firm packed powder moguls had formed.
