Otani Farm, operated by Seseragi Co., Ltd., continues to refine its organic, reduced-pesticide and circular farming methods while growing crops of the Koshihikari, Akitakomachi and Milky Queen varieties of rice again this year. Otani Farm’s rice has earned major accolades, including a Special Excellence Award in 2020 and top honors at a national rice competition in 2023. Preorders for the farm’s 2026 crop of freshly-harvested rice are scheduled to begin in mid-September. Be sure to give it a try! (Photo taken in early September last year.)
