The HAKUBA Yoo-Hoo! FESTIVAL has kicked off at Hakuba Iwatake! On the first day, 5/17 (Sat.), the opening acts featured Kano Nojima, Beverly (pictured), and NOBU, along with performances by the Shinshu Otari Taiko drummers, cheerleading shows, and a nighttime light-up event. Today, 5/18 (Sun.), the festivities continued with further performances by Kano Nojima and Beverly, as well as nobodyknows+, and a scenic relaxation yoga session.

Also on 5/17 (Sat.) and 5/18 (Sun.), renowned artist GOMA for his collaboration with major companies and television appearances—performed a live painting session. Without doing any preliminary sketching, he created a single large mural live on-site by turning participating guests into characters: depicting men as dogs and women as cats, each uniquely illustrated with their names included in the scene.

As mentioned above, on 5/18 (Sun.) the crowd first welcomed Kano Nojima—former SKE48 member who began her full-fledged solo career this April—for two sets of six songs each. Her performance was followed by Beverly, known for singing the theme songs featured in dramas such as “Anata wa Watashi no Otosaretai” and “Bokura no Shokutaku”, for a further two 6-song sets. Later on, at 2:30 p.m., nobodyknows+ took the stage, energizing the crowd with a six-song set that included their iconic hit “Kokoro Odoru”.
