Unfortunately, the two main days of the “YOO-HOO! Festival” on 5/24 (Sat.) and 5/25 (Sun.) were marked by poor weather due to a passing low-pressure system. Rain began in the afternoon on 5/24 (Sat.) and finally came to a stop around 9:30 a.m. on 5/25 (Sun.), leaving behind a chilly, overcast sky. A lineup of kitchen cars (pictured) offered jerk chicken sandwiches, burgers, crepes, lamb curry, tacos, panini, pizza crepes, and more on the route between the 5Sen South lift’s unloading area and the View Slope.

The grassy area in front of Skyark was damp from the rain, but thanks to the original leisure sheets (included in the ticket price) handed out at check-in, guests were able to sit on the ground and stay dry. In the VIP area nestled within the beech forest, each table was covered by a tent (pictured). Around noon however, the skies began to clear with patches of blue appearing.

Various booths were set up around the venue, selling artist merchandise, official Iwatake goods by Hakuba Yamato-ya, and items like towels, hats, and sandals from Alpen. There were also giveaways, including samples of new products from Amino Vital, and a lottery where participants could win an original Coca-Cola aluminum tumbler (pictured) based on the number on their wristband.

A total of 15 artists performed on stage over the two days of the event. On 5/24 (Sat.), the lineup featured HIKKA, wacci, FOMARE, SHE’S, Harami-chan, Takaya Kawasaki, Airi Suzuki, and SCANDAL. On 5/25 (Sun.), performances were given by Mao Abe, Sho Wada (of TRICERATOPS), GAKU-MC, GLIM SPANKY, Yo Hitoto, Kimaguren, and Sukima Switch. Around 3,000 people gathered over the two-day weekend, making for a lively and exciting atmosphere.
