The Hakuba Iwatake MTB PARK is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays through 7/15 (Wed.). However, the beginner MTB course “Hitotoki Downhill” (pictured, far right), which runs alongside the mountain cart course from the summit down to the 5-Line South station, remains open every day (※¥1,800 per run, including MTB and helmet rental). This morning, the sun filtered through thin clouds, creating comfortable conditions.

By the way, visitors are allowed to bring soft serve ice cream and “Oimo Biyori,” sold at the nearby food truck, into the summit tipi tents. Today, I met two visitors from Thailand (pictured) who told me, “Everything is new to us, and we’re having so much fun!”

The “Scenic Relaxation Yoga” sessions that were held on 5/16 (Sat.) and 5/17 (Sun.) (※photo taken 5/16, participation free) are scheduled to take place again on Sundays from 7/19 (Sun.) through 11/8 (Sun.), along with 8/8 (Sat.), 8/10 (Mon.), 8/11 (Tue., holiday), 8/15 (Sat.), 9/19 (Sat.), 9/21 (Mon.), 9/22 (Tue., holiday), and 11/3 (Tue., holiday). Behind the instructor dressed in black, crews had already started building the Hitotoki-no-Mori Stage for the Yoo-Hoo! Festival on 5/23 (Sat.) and 5/24 (Sun.).

Live performances at the Hitotoki-no-Mori Stage on 5/23 (Sat.) and 5/24 (Sun.) can be enjoyed without purchasing a festival ticket (¥10,500 for a one-day pass, ¥20,000 for a two-day pass). Riders on the Hakuba Giant Swing (pictured) screamed with excitement as they launched out toward the valley below.
