At Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort, where the mixed gondola–chairlift system “Sunrise Express” (pictured) and the main Resort Center were recently built in 2018, development has continued steadily. The resort has since added The Veranda Ishiuchi Maruyama, opened the Resort Center Annex, installed the Central Family Lift, and expanded parking facilities—making the resort more comfortable and appealing year after year. By the way, the yellow bundles seen hanging above the lift in the background are freshly harvested rice being sun-dried on the lift line, and are known as Tenku-mai (“Heavenly Rice”).
