Ninja REPORT

2026.03.0790 cm / Snow & Clouds

At last, some long-awaited snow! Slightly moist snow continued to fall this morning, and about 3 cm had accumulated on the moderately firm groomed granular snow of Blackbeat, while around 5 cm of new snow had settled on the ungroomed granular surface of Shine (pictured). The slightly moist new snow offered no drag, and my edges bit firmly into the slope, making both courses very enjoyable to ride.

Drago (pictured) had the same conditions as Blackbeat: moderately firm groomed granular snow topped with about 3 cm of slightly moist new snow. On the skier’s left side, four park features had been set up in sequence from the top: a 3 m rail and 3 m box, followed by a 4 m kicker and a 3 m rail. Fog hung over the entire resort this morning, but it did not interfere with riding.

I met a group of five visitors from Kanagawa (pictured) who told me, “We always read your reports! More friends are joining us later, and we’ll end up with about 25 people in total. We’re heading up the REWILD Lift and will be riding hard!” At the moment, only the gentle Shinko course is open along the REWILD Lift (the Nirei and Rewild courses remain closed due to insufficient snow).

At the “Panorama Long Swing” at the top of Alekoko (pictured), children from two families visiting from Kanagawa and Matsumoto City in Nagano were taking turns playing on the swing. One of the mothers told me, “We always read your reports! It rained the whole drive up here, so we were worried, but Ninja had snow, which was a relief. The snow quality is better than we expected, and we’re having a great time skiing.”
