The only mountain cycling tour in Shiga Kogen! SHIGAKOGEN MOUNTAIN DISCOVERY offers a guided mountain bike tour that takes you from the 2,000-meter summit of Mt. Higashidate down a 4.5 km trail with a 430-meter elevation drop (pictured). The tour fee (JPY9,000) includes everything you need—mountain bike rental, helmet and gear, plus a gondola ride—so all you have to do is show up. The same company also offers guided hiking tours, canyoning adventures, and SUP tours.
