Omachi Shokuji-dokoro Kei is a restaurant that opened in November 2025, with Sichuan-style mapo tofu as its signature dish. The lunch set (pictured), which includes mapo tofu using the owner’s original recipe perfected over 15 years of research, along with rice, miso soup, and salad, is JPY1,650. In addition to mapo eggplant, lu rou fan, and tenshinhan, the menu features seasonal dishes, as well as a selection of hard ciders from Omachi’s Son of the Smith, produced in Omachi City, plus sake and beer.
