JA Matsumoto Highland Watermelon Village opened on 7/9 (Thu.)! JA Matsumoto Highland watermelons are a premium brand grown in the rich, volcanic soil of the Wada, Niimura, Imai, and Hata districts of Matsumoto City, as well as Yamagata Village. This year’s watermelons are said to be of particularly high quality thanks to relatively low snowfall in March and April followed by favorable weather from May onward.
