It was slightly raining just after the opening of the ski area. The wet groomed slope of Ikenota (Photo) was very slushy and in corn snow condition. The fogs stayed in the low part, so people were skiing carefully.

A father from a family from Chiba Prefecture (Right on Photo) gave me the greeting, “I always enjoy your reports! We have stayed in Hotel Green Plaza Hakuba since 3/23 (Thu). Unfortunately, it is raining today, but the slopes are still in good condition.” The groomed slopes of Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course and Mt. Hieda-one Course were less sluchy than the slope of Ikenota.

Although Mt. Hieda Course 2 (Photo) is often closed in lower March because of big cracks on the slope, but it is still open this season. I saw bushes and the ground exposed on the slope, but the bumps were not hard, so it was in good condition for trying. Mt. Hieda Course 3 is also open now.

The rain was getting heavier to the noon while the fogs became lighter. In Ikenota, there is enough space to ski, although the ground was exposed in the middle part. The weather forecast says it will be raining tomorrow as well. Whether the ski area will be open after 3/27 (Mon) or not will be announced at noon on 3/26 (Sun).
