We are really having a lot of snow in this March! This morning, the upper part of the ski area was covered with fog and it was heavily snowing in the weak north west wind. By the way, the roof of the Olympic Hut by the start house of Nagano Olympic Games was already repaired (*It was broken by the gale on 3/16.).

Alpen Quad, Skyline No.2 Pair and Kurobishi No.2 Quad were open 20 minutes later than scheduled. About 40cm of the fresh snow was in the off-piste area along Kurobishi No.3 Pair (Photo)! It was not as fluffy as that of the top season, but we could still enjoy its soft and floating feeling when I skied straightly.

The snow falling this time seemed to have fallen rapidly, so there was 20cm of fluffy snow on the nicely firm groomed slope along Kurobishi No.2 Quad (Photo). It was hard to see the surface of the slope, so I enjoyed the fresh snow carefully, while I was checking the border of the groomed and off-piste area.

In Skyline Course, there was 30-40cm fresh snow on the off-piste area and 15-20cm fresh snow on the nicely firm wet groomed area. In Rindo Course where 3-5cm of fresh snow was on its nicely firm wet groomed slope, the fresh snow got heavy and too soft in the lower part. The 3-5cm of fresh snow was wet in the nicely soft groomed slopes in Sakka Wave, Sakka and Shirakaba.
