OAKLEY TGPARKS’ currently features a 5m rail, 7m kicker (pictured), 6m table, 2-way 4m rail & 4m box, wave, 3m table, 4m table in the main park, and a double down rail, 6m rail, PVC rail, and 4m box in the hike-up park. That lineup makes it the most complete snow park in Japan right now! Despite yesterday’s rain, the park was in good condition this morning.

There are only 10 days left before the end of Tsugaike Mountain Resort‘s winter season, which started on 11/30 (Thurs.). The official snow depth is still more than 100cm, and the Tsuga-no-mori Slope, Gotemba Course, and the area alongside the Han-no-ki High-Speed Pair Lift will be open until the final day of the season, 5/6 (Mon, holiday). . Of course, the Tsugaike Ropeway and the aforementioned snow parks will remain open as well!

The groomed slopes were in spring-like condition, with loose, easy to ski soft granular snow. I spoke with a pair of skiers from Toyama Prefecture (pictured), who told me, “We love your site! This is our third visit to Tsugaike this season. We may come back for a final time during Golden Week.” Although the turnout of visitors was low, I was greeted by and exchanged words with a number of other visitors.

It instantly felt hot when the fog lifted around 9:30 a.m. and the sun began to shine, and I felt fine that there was no need for a jacket. In other news, Hakuba Tsugaike WOW!, in front of the gondola mid-station, will be open daily from 4/27 (Sat.) to 5/6 (Mon.). (*Advanced reservations are now being accepted). The Yuki-no-hiroba’s Burker King will also open on those same dates.
