Happo-one REPORT

2023.03.06290cm / Partly Cloudy

This morning I ran into to skiers who will take part in the technical skiing competition to be held from 3/9 (Thu.) to 3/12 (Sun.). The skier on the left told me, “I love your site. She’s mfrom Miyazaki, the southernmost prefecture in Japan. You should take a photo for her.” (I ended up taking a photo of the both of them). The family name of the skier that was introduced to me is Kubozaki (pictured right), and she responded, “I’ll do my best in the competition!”

The top of the Riesen Slalom Course had a groomed granular snow surface, but the north-facing Panorama Course (pictured) had wet groomed snow, and the edges of my skis gripped the slopes well! Part of Panorama, the skiers’ left side toward the end of the course, was restricted in preparation for an upcoming demonstration skiing event.

The slope along the Kurobishi 3 Pair (pictured, background) and Sodeguro, where the technical skiing competition is scheduled to be held, were also restricted. The slope paralleling the No. 2 Pair (pictured, foreground), had a moderately firm, groomed wet snow surface with a powdery feel. I was greeted by a skier from Hyogo Prefecture, who told me, “I’m a fan of Snownavi! I came here today hoping to see some of the skiers competing in the technical competition.”

The sky was overcast first thing in the morning, but the clouds quickly melted away, and by 9:00 a.m. the sky was clear. Three skiers from Aichi Prefecture (pictured) told me they’re fans of Snownavi and commented on what a beautiful day it was. The Skyline Course had a firmly-groomed wet snow surface, while the area from the Kitaone traverse cat track to the Sakka Slope had a groomed granular snow surface that was turning soft and slushy.
