Founded in 1965, the Sugiyama Ski & Snowsports School is the oldest ski school in Japan, and is now offering a Sugiyama Outdoor Program outside of winter. Participants can enjoy a variety of activities in Shiga Kogen, such as climbing Mt. Iwasuge, hiking through the secluded Akiyamago Valley to take in the fall foliage, or trying your hand at fly fishing with a vineyard visit, and more. The activity lineup is packed with a variety of ways to fully experience the beauty of Shiga Kogen. In addition, training programs are also available to help improve skiing skills through physical conditioning.
