The annual “NOZAWA ONSEN Music Picnic” (pictured, free admission) was held at the Uenotaira Picnic Garden starting at 11 a.m. on 9/13 (Sun.). To mark the event, gondola rides were free for junior high school students and younger, while adults (high school age and older) received a complimentary soft drink with their gondola ride.

Around 11 a.m., just as Kayoko Yuzawa’s live set began, the weather cleared, bringing a beautiful highland day (pictured). People gathered little by little with food and drinks in hand, settling in to enjoy the music just as the event’s “Music Picnic” name suggests. Guests relaxed over lunch while listening to Yuzawa’s soulful vocals.

Between performances, there was also a chance to take commemorative photos with Nozawa Onsen Village mascot Nasuki. At noon, Manamaru (pictured) took the stage. She had the crowd laughing with her popular Crayon Shin-chan singing impressions, including “What If Crayon Shin-chan Sang…,” as well as songs performed in the voice of Doraemon and improvised performances based on requests from the audience.

At 1 p.m., a live recording of FM Nagano’s “FRIDAY GOES ON – Ah, Sore Itadaki!” began, hosted by Ryo-tsu Saito (pictured, right) and Yu Fujii (pictured, left). By then, a large crowd had gathered. Kayoko Yuzawa (pictured, center) and Manamaru returned as guests, joining in familiar show segments including “Fujii Rock Festival,” “Moguro Saito,” and “Masuda Daimyojin’s Guitar Purification,” keeping the audience entertained throughout.
