Tsugaike REPORT

2025.03.11343 cm / Cloudy

This morning, the blue sky that had been visible to the west gradually became covered with clouds, and before long, the eastern sky also turned overcast. As a result, temperatures didn’t rise too much, and the air remained chilly. I was worried it might rain, but as of this morning, the rain icons that had appeared in the weather forecast for 3/12 (Wed.), and 3/13 (Thurs.) were no longer there.

On the Han-no-ki Slope (pictured), the groomed base was composed of moderately firm granular snow, which was a bit hard to see due to the flat light. However, it was easy to ski, and I was able to comfortably cruise down the roughly 3-km long course from top to bottom. The Maruyama Slope had a similar, moderately firm, groomed granular snow surface.

I spoke with a group of students from Nagano City (pictured), who told me they were fans of Snownavi, and added, “We came to ski with friends for spring break. We can’t hit the kicker yet, but we’ll pretend like we can for your photo.” The TGPARKS area (pictured) was beautifully maintained again this morning, with moderately tight groomed granular snow.

I met a snowboarder from Osaka (pictured) who called out, “Are you with Snownavi? I love your site! I’m meeting up with some friends on Kanenaru. The groomed snow surface was nice and firm this morning, but it’s starting to soften up a bit now.” The groomed, granular snow surface of the Kane-no-naru-oka Slope had started to soften and had become slightly moist.
