Kashimayari REPORT

2025.11.041 cm / Sunny

On 11/4 (Tue.), the first snow of the year was observed at Kashimayari Ski Resort Family Park on the upper sections of the Tomi Grand View A, B, and C slopes (pictured), as well as the beginning of Course 5-A, which comes three days earlier than last season. Under clear skies, radiative cooling brought a strong chill to the morning air, but the access road to the Central Slope parking lot showed no signs of freezing.

The view of the snow-covered Mt. Kashimayari (2,889 m, pictured right) and Mt. Jiigatake (2,670 m, pictured left) set against the vibrant autumn colors was absolutely stunning. “I came early this morning to take photos—the alpenglow was beautiful too,” said a man from Matsukawa Village whom I ran into. By the way, the white areas visible on the Kurosawa Slope are not snow, but frost.

Kashimayari Ski Resort’s 2025-26 winter season is scheduled to run from 12/13/2025 to 3/22/2026 (subject to snow conditions).
