The cold wave from 1/2 (Mon) brought good snow and the officially announced snow amount reached over 200cm finally! The banks at the beginning part of Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course (Photo) were entirely covered with snow now. It was falling dry snow in the weak cold north wind this morning. More and more trees were covered with ice here.

Mt. Hieda Rinkan Course was groomed nicely firm, covered with 2cm fresh snow and in good condition. There was 20cm of fresh snow in the off-piste areas of Itadaira Course (Photo) and Mt. Hieda Course 1 as well. I could enjoy high speed turns in the groomed part which was firm and covered with 2-3cm fresh snow in Itadaira Course.

Although many people go back to their work from today, the ski area, especially Ikenota Area (Photo), was still crowded with people and it took 2-3 minutes to get on No.2 Quad at 9:30 a.m. The wide groomed slope of Ikenota was nicely firm and covered with thin fresh snow.

In Warabidaira, the steep beginning part of the groomed slope was firm and the gentle lower part was nicely firm. There were already enough snow there, so I saw no bushes. In the off-piste areas on the sides, there was 10cm of fluffy snow.
