Goryu47 REPORT

2024.02.15240cm / Mostly Cloudy

It was a dark, overcast start to the morning, but the clouds later parted bringing sunlight to the slopes. 47PARKS, which fully opened on 2/3 (Sat.), was quite popular today – especially with beginner and intermediate-level skiers and boarders. The groomed, firm wet snow surface inside the park was in good condition, and there were many people who skied straight through without hitting any of the elements. [Route 4]

The snow park, which currently boats 25 elements, is one of the largest in Japan, and features a terrain pipe at the top, followed by three separate lanes for advanced, intermediate, and beginner skiers and riders below that. The advanced lane (pictured) has a 12-meter kicker, an 8-meter tabletop, an up angle rail, and more. The intermediate lane contains such as a 6-meter tabletop, 7-meter tabletop, and rainbow box, while the beginner lane has two 2-meter tabletops and two boxes.

The advanced lane along Lines A and B is up close and in full view of the lift riders, who let out cheers from their lofty perch when people got big air or threw in rotations to their jumps off the 12-meter kicker. The advanced skiers and riders also showed off their skills on the 8m table top, the up angle rail, and the 7m flat rail by clearing them one after another with ease.

The final element (pictured) at the end of the park was popular, with visitors jibbing off of it, jumping over it, etc. The wait time for Line-A was about 3 minutes while I was there. Afterwards I headed to the lower part of Route 1, which had a groomed, granular snow surface that was beginning to loosen up.
