Tsugaike REPORT

2025.04.30177 cm / Sunny

As of today, the winter season at Tsugaike Mountain Resort is down to its final week. Thanks to the abundant snowfall this season, there are no exposed bushes or areas of thin snow cover on the currently open runs—the Tsuga-no-mori Slope (pictured), Gotemba Course, and the area alongside the Han-no-ki High-Speed Pair. This morning saw blue skies and pleasant weather that was ideal for skiing.

The moderately soft, groomed granular spring snow base along the Han-no-ki High-Speed Pair provided smooth, fast glide. There I ran into a group of visitors from various places in Kansai (pictured), who commented, “We always check Snownavi! We often come to Tsugaike in the spring. The snow is running fast and it’s easy to ride today.” By around 10 a.m., a line had formed at the well-maintained kicker inside TG PARKS (pictured).

The Tsuga-no-mori Slope (pictured) and Gotemba Course both featured moderately firm, groomed granular snow bases that were so enjoyable I found myself wanting to get in as many runs as possible before the snow softened. Incidentally, the Tsugaike Ropeway, which can be seen in the background of the photo, is currently operating. A couple I ran into from Aichi Prefecture shared, “We always read your reports! We’ll be staying in our car and skiing until 5/3 (Sat.). We’re already looking forward to next season as well!”

Some TG PARKS diggers (pictured) told me they were fans of Snownavi, before adding, “We’re doing our best to keep all the park features in top condition so everyone can enjoy them right up until the final day. Come on out and have fun!” It’s hard to say goodbye, but this will be the final Tsugaike report of the season. Thank you very much for following along—and I look forward to seeing you on the slopes again next winter!
