Tsugaike REPORT

2025.10.281cm / Snowy

Following the first snowfall over the Northern Alps on 10/27 (Mon.), Tsugaike Mountain Resort saw its own first snow of the season on 10/28 (Tue.)—ten days earlier than last year! The snow covered the entire Tsuga-no-mori Slope (pictured), as well as the grassy and bamboo-covered sections of the Gotemba Course and the upper part of the Han-no-ki Slope.

At the gondola summit station (pictured), a total of 5 mm of snow was observed on the steps—1 mm of light, powdery flakes that fell this morning atop a 4 mm layer of coarser grains that had accumulated overnight or earlier. The older snow beneath had already frozen. Across the resort, crews were hard at work with construction and preparations for the coming winter season.
