Thanks to the snow that fell yesterday and the day before, about 20 to 30cm of snow had accumulated around the Happo-ike this morning (pictured). Beneath the lightly packed surface marked with wind ripples was a layer of soft, dry powder. Around 1 to 2cm of snow remained on the Riesen Grat Course, but everything below the Usagidaira and Kurobishi Slopes has completely melted away for now.
