Goryu47 REPORT

2026.03.15250 cm / Partly Cloudy

47PARKS (pictured), widely regarded as one of the highest-quality terrain parks in Japan and known for its meticulous maintenance, was once again in excellent shape this morning. Under mostly cloudy but calm skies, all 19 features across the advanced, intermediate, and beginner lanes were perfectly prepared. Two Hakuba Village locals (pictured, left and center) greeted me with the familiar line, “We always read your reports!”
[Route 4]

As I approached, they added, “This guy is a gold medalist.” Wait, what? “He (in the white outfit) is Kira Kimura, the men’s Big Air gold medalist from the Milano Cortina Olympics.” Without thinking, I blurted out, “Wait—really? The real one?” Kimura smiled and replied, “Yes, the real one.” After kindly posing for a photo, he headed straight to the 14 m and 11 m kickers and launched them with ease. The real thing indeed—impressive!

Earlier, before the lifts opened, I met three visitors from Osaka (pictured) who told me, “We came to Goryu 47 for the first time on our high school graduation trip. We’re about to rent all our gear and clothing.” A patrol staff member also said, “The temperature is just right today, and the lower section of Route 1 isn’t too firm—it’s very easy to ski.”
[Lower Route 1]

Routes 5 and 6, Route 2, the lower section of Route 8, and the lower section of Route 1 were all freshly groomed and held firm spring granular snow. A skier who happened to be skiing Route 2 at the same time told me, “It had just the right firmness—really nice conditions.”
